Greetings in the New Year,
We are looking for some help from our volunteers for two projects. What we are looking for is any video or photos that you may have shot of any of the weather related incidents that we have had here in Palatine. We are going to use them in training and a Winter PSA. Hopefully some of you have taken photos or video of our recent snow storm or last years Feb 1 "Snow-magedon".
I know that some of you have given me stuff in the past, but I have lost many
of those photos in trying to transfer computer files. So, please send me all snow, flood, tornado etc photos/videos that you have. If you have to burn a DVD that is great also. If you can label the pics or videos as to exactly what they are, that would help but certainly not a deal breaker.
Below are shots we are looking for the Winter PSA:
* heavy snow fall
*snow plowing
*people trying to walk in snow/falling if we can get it
*people shoveling snow
*pushing cars out of drifts etc
*winds blowing snow sideways
*someone getting dressed in appropriate winter gear-layers
*shoveling out fire hydrants
*very large mounds of snow
Staged Shots:
*someone putting together a supply kit
*people picking kids up from school
*someone making a phone call
*someone insulating pipes/caulking windows or putting 3M film on windows
*fuel trucks driving down the road
*stocking up firewood
*a space heater running
*a fire extinguisher
*a person showing signs of frostbite
*correctly outfitted person
*someone checking fluid levels in a car
